Fuzzy Brands Helps Markeaton Primary School to Save Their Legs

We were delighted to be invited by Markeaton Primary School to supply them with 116 replacement tabletops and 54 complete tables in time for their new school year. 

Hygiene and the quality of furniture in schools is more important than ever before, as pupils return to the classroom after lockdown and the summer holidays. Following an internal review, a number of tabletops at Markeaton Primary School were identified as damaged through general wear and tear, although the frames were still perfectly serviceable.

By just replacing the tabletops, Fuzzy Brands revitalised the school’s classrooms. Made to order, the tabletops were manufactured with a sprayed PU edge (a moulded cast PU edge is also available). The replacement tabletops were easily fitted onto the old legs by the premises support staff.

The cost of replacing their tabletops was around half the cost of replacing complete tables. Furthermore, the order turnaround time was greatly reduced as the school didn’t have to wait for the frames to be manufactured. 

Fuzzy Brands Director Tony Arnold said: “We were delighted when Markeaton Primary School contacted us about replacing their existing tabletops during the summer break. By ordering before the end of the summer term we were able to organise a schedule to fulfil Markeaton’s order during the holidays and have everything in place ready for their new school year.”

Tony added: “The summer break is obviously the most popular time for schools to replace their classroom furniture, but because of high demand, many schools won’t find a solution in time for the beginning of their new academic year.”
